You know how Christians pray to God, that God would help their hearts to break for the things that break God’s? That we will be moved by the things that move Him? That we will have the same desires? That we will want what He wants and that we will do the things that are righteous and just...
Do you think we oftentimes have that in our earthly brides/bridegrooms (spouses)? Does your heart break for the things that break your spouse’s? Do you have compassion for the heart of your friend’s? How about your significant other? How deep, really, does your relationship go? Is it superficial? Some people say, that’s just for women, or that men just aren’t that emotional or touchy feely, etc. Men...Is it none of our business when a guy from work is going through a difficult emotional time, at work? This is historically an easy time for people to be depressed. I don’t get out much anymore, but I’ve been hearing a lot about people who are depressed or suicidal. People are going through tough times. Loss, divorce, loss of income, and the holidays can be difficult for people in these situations. Pray for compassion. Listen more. Comfort more. Be present more. Give more PRESENCE, than PRESENTS!
