Tis the Season...to Move?!
Is December a good time to move? Well, some will say that it depends on where you live. I hear my colleagues from other states, talking about winter months in Real Estate, and some of them say, "Oh, this is the down season. People don't move during this time." Even discouraging a listing of a home! Well I, for one, know that jobs will transfer you and military will transfer you...regardless of the seasons or the weather. Not only that, but if someone is relocated or transferred, in a so-called "off' month, that would give the few homes available, the advantage. Folks, don't you know, that if you need to buy strawberries, out of season, and only one store has them, that store is going to have the monopoly. They are going to have the advantage. And don't you think you might pay a little more for those strawberries? When we have a Real Estate market, with low inventory, the homes for sale, will become the best opportunities...the ONLY opportunities. I live in Southern California. In Southern California, the weather never plays into the real estate market. When I first became a Realtor, the owner of my office told me that no one wants to move during the holidays. But, she also told me that we had to persuade the clients differently. Not because of weather. But, because everyone was busy about the holidays. Let me repeat...it is always someone's market, and people have to move, no matter the season, weather or holiday. When would you like to sell, when there are a thousand homes for sale and only a hundred buyers? Of course not! Be that shining home, that everyone wants to fight over. Get it out of your head, that there is ever a bad season, because you will create that "bad season." When does Apple have their biggest sales? Right before the new school year starts. They know that this is the time that consumers will be purchasing their new computers. There is a lot of competition, so they make their market more appealing, by reducing the prices, offering extra accessories, etc. But in a so-called off-season, you're probably not going to see these special promotions. When you are selling a home in an off season, you won't have to discount the home, because your home becomes the luxury, in a reduced inventory market. Don't believe me? Check out how much your home is worth, during these winter months. Make your attitude, be that of abundance. Remind yourself, that there is always a season for home buying and selling. My market always has inventory. A seller doesn't have to discount the home. A buyer has many to choose from. Southern California homes are in abundance. An unlisted home, will not even have a chance to sell. I market my homes in a way that they are showcased in any season, and they are advertised in any Internet marketplace. Don't let anyone tell you, that it won't work to sell your home in the winter. I work hard, to sell your home in any season. And for those Veterans, who get transferred in any season, don’t forget that I am a current Veteran, who has served over 30 years. I KNOW what you are going through. I KNOW how to help you make that military move a seamless transition. When you need a Professional Realtor, you need one who will work for you in season and out. I am here to help you, when YOU need it. If you're not saying "Tina Casen Moves Me," call me...I promise, you will be moved by me! Tis the Season, Your Home is the Reason!
